Q:What colors are you going to decorate the house!?!?!? (I am so ridiculously excited about your house. It is not my house. It is your house. BUT STILL SO EXCITED! WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?)
Oh man oh man.
Okay so, we love the floor colours. Grey tile and this beautiful dark hardwood everywhere. We eventually want to paint the walls in silver and slate grey, more cool than warm ((like, blue-grey rather than red-grey)). Some of the walls in a room will be different, like … two facing walls will be a lighter grey, and a back wall will be dark slate or something. We saw this colour scheme in one of the houses we looked at and loved it. The colour on the walls now isn’t too far off so painting isn’t super urgent.
We like dark furniture; most of the stuff we have now is black, since it’s so easy to match. Our dining table is gonna be dark brown to match the kitchen ((and floors!)) and we want stainless steel or black appliances.
Basically … we like stately lights and darks. Neutral shades that are elegant and hold up on their own but will make our brightly-coloured wall art really pop. We have a LOT of it, mostly framed commissions. We’re looking forward to having more wall space cos our apartment walls are getting crowded … :’D
btw NOTHING IS WRONG WITH YOU oh man having other people excited makes this whole thing SO MUCH MORE FUN
